The 70mai Hardwire Kit UP02 power adapter is an accessory that expands the capabilities of 70mai cameras to include 24/7 parking mode or the use of the car’s battery power
The UP02 Hardwire Kit power adapter is required to use parking mode with the following cameras: A800 4K Dash Cam, A500 Dash Cam Pro Plus, and Rearview Dash Cam Wide D07. For other cameras, the adapter allows you to use the car’s battery power. For the Dash Cam Pro D02, Mini Dash Cam D05, and Dash Cam Lite D08, the adapter serves as a backup power source; this means that when the device’s battery is low, the Hardwire Kit UP02 will draw power from the car’s battery to continue recording in parking mode. However, for the Smart Dash Cam 1S D06, it can only be used to maintain the date and time settings.
Enjoy power to your dashcam even after the car’s engine is turned off. The device uses battery power so that the camera can record every parking incident. Additionally, the Hardwire Kit UP02 power adapter monitors the battery voltage to ensure there is sufficient power to start the car. There will be no situation where parking mode takes priority over the ability to start the engine. The adapter features ACC, VCC+, and GND- wires for connecting to the car’s electrical system, as well as a microUSB connector for connecting to the dashcam.
