The game has exceptionally simple rules. There are 5 different objects in 5 colors on the table—a white ghost, a red armchair, a blue book, a gray mouse, and a green bottle. Players quickly lay out cards one after another; each card shows two of these objects, though not necessarily in the correct colors. Depending on the situation, players must grab the correct object as quickly as possible. The fastest player wins the card. Unfortunately, a mistake comes at a cost—you must give up one of the cards you’ve previously won. The player who collects the most cards wins. I sat there frozen, unable to move (because my brain couldn’t process what my eyes were seeing), watching as the other players rapidly (it is blitz, after all!) racked up point after point.
